who we are

Together we have collaborated on projects, papers, participated in conferences, and co-taught hands-on courses about the origins of artistic resources and techniques. Our collaborative courses through Stonehill College include Fresco Painting, The Origin of Resources: From Farm to Studio, and The Mindful Palette are held throughout the year at various locations in Italy such as The Spannocchia Foundation, Civitella Ranieri, the Archaeologia Arboria, and Officina Stamperia del Notaio.

Through academic conferences and artist residencies, travel is an important part of our personal research and artistic production and has brought us to Italy, Greece, Turkey, Morocco, Cyprus, Egypt, Ireland, and France.

We were recipients of a research grant from the Fondazione Cini in Venice in 2017 and our current research is supported in part by a Temple University OVPR Art and Humanities grant.
